NPAs are considered as an important parameter t judge the perforamnce and financial health of banks. The level of NPSs is one of the drivers of financial stability and growth of the banking sector. The presence of NPAs has ana adverse impact on the productivity and efficiency of Indian banks which results in the erosion of pofits. To face the global challenges and to maintain the liquidity and profitability, it is essential to maintain the NPAs at low level through efficient recovery.
