N2  - The current scenario of higher education is marked by various problems of access, equity. The author proposes a 'Multiversity Model' to address and mitigate the ills afflicting the education system. The paper discusses the main components of the Model and how they can achieve the mission of building a new educational architecture of a mutiversity, facilitate the sustainable sharing and extenxive usage of diverse open education resources, and create and nurture an apporpriate ambiance conducive to  the creation of a huge pool of high quality, humane professionals at the ground level
