| Summary, etc. | This empirical investigation examines the contemporaneous and dynamic relationship between daily stock returns and trading volume in the Indian Stock Market. The datacome from three major indicies and three sectoral indices of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and cover the period from 1998-2009. Contrary to the empirical findings in the developed market, this study evidence absence of positive correlation and absence of contemporaneous asymmetry in the relation between per seand vvolume. |
