Salient features of finance bill 2013: Direct taxes - 2013 - 62-76
Finance Minister has not tinkered with the tax rate structure, bith under direct and indirect taxes. He has not also levied any new taxs as was being widely debated, except commodity transaction tax on non agricultural commodities. The Finance Minister in his budget speech has promised to bring the Direct Tax Code (DTC) back to the house before the end of the budget session.
