Every investor naturally looks at best performing mutual funds. But, the recent global financial crisis has made significant impact on the performance of Indian mutual funds also. There is no excuse for systematic or non systematic investments. Itis alarming issue one should keep in mind, the present NAVs of mutual funds are deeply discounted. This paper studies three issues: (a) global financial distress, (b) review on recent literature with respect to global meltdown and (c) recent data of mutual funds in India.
