The Indian hosusehold savings is more or less equally distributed among the physical assets and financial assets in the last decade except one or two years. The percentage of their investment in risky assets is mostly in singal digit. This study makes an attempt to look at the preparedness of the households by analyzing the household portfolio in general, and the factors influencing the ownership of risky assets in particular, in their portfolio.
